The Orion Republic is a small community of forum-based, play-by-post RPers within an immersive science fiction setting that showcases when humanity had spread across the stars and how civilization would develop as a result. We focus on lore-building and immersing characters in the environments we create. This gets crafted alongside the technology and species we imagine in a universe that is balanced between hard science and space opera. Our role-plays usually focus on characters that direct nations in politics and intrigue but flexibility in how you express this bewildering new galaxy to a reader is available. We'd like to see smaller organizations or individual people that fit into or even drive events. We all shape the future of this futuristic civilization; the story is what we all make of it through our contributions. An ideal situation would be a series of different plotlines all co-existing together and affecting one another.
